Stark von Haven
He looks pretty innocent here at 4 weeks old. Stark von Haven is one of the best photographically documented pups of the litter. His family, Erica and Shawn, love their boy a lot and are always sharing his pictures on Facebook and Instagram. Stark was the “blue” pup, born 4th in the litter and weighing in at 18.5 ounces. He was quite the character as a little pup. Of all the pups, he was the high energy guy wanting to play hard and rough till everybody else was worn out and exhausted. With Stark, our motto of “What happens in the Puppy Room stays in the puppy room!” was very, very true. Curious and smart, he also loved to chew up all the stuffed toys. He and sister Brie beheaded (very Game of Thrones-lol) a stuffed raccoon, disemboweled a Snuggles teddy bear, and ripped the tail off the beaver toy – all in one play session.
Stark went home with his new Mom,Erica (she’s a tech at our veterinarian), on his 8 week visit. She had picked him out when he was 3 days old.
Erica is the kind of owner all breeders dream about. She loves her dogs so much and does so much with them. Stark was the star of his puppy class, fearless and smart his set a high bar for the pups to strive for.
Stark was typical of the entire litter as they all love the water and swimming and took to swimming at a very young age. Stark was a fearless dock diver at the age of .
He started tracking class at Carden Kennels in Bangor, Maine when he was 4 months old. German Shepherds are great at tracking and this litter was exceptionally talented.
