Baratheon von Haven
What can I say about Baratheon von Haven aka Barry? He is one amazing German Shepherd dog. That’s why we chose to keep him as a stud so he could pass on his wonderful qualities to a new generation of German Shepherds. Barry is the son of Multi Sieger Champion VA1 Schumann von Tronje. Schumann was the GSDCA National Sieger Champion in 2016 and was given the first GSDCA Progeny award in 2019. Barry’s mother, Dirigo Malibu Beach Vacation, is the daughter of AKC GSDCA ROM Ch Kysarah’s Rolling Stone, CGC. When we say Barry comes from Champion bloodlines, we aren’t kidding. Both sides of his pedigree contain multiple Champions (73 champions in 6 generations on Malibu’s side alone). Barry is one of 10 German Shepherd puppies from our Game of Thrones outcross litter combining the best of West German and AKC American Showlines.
What I love most about Barry is his trainability. As a puppy he housebroke himself at the age of 6 weeks. When we would have the puppies out for a play session, he would would run back to the puppy pen “potty area” to relieve himself rather than just pee on the floor like the other pups in the litter. If the door to the puppy pen was closed he would sit next to it and whine till we opened it and then he would run in to the “potty area” do his thing. All through his training, he has learned new things in 2 or 3 tries and then it has just been a matter of perfecting them. He is enthusiastic and happy about everything. Barry is great with other dogs and enjoys playing in a pack setting. Barry exhibits true German Shepherd confidence and loyalty without any aggression to other dogs or humans.
Requirements for Using Barry as a Stud Dog
Barry is available at stud to approved females. If you would like to breed to Barry please contact us well in advance so we can make sure all our breeding requirements are met and that he will be available at the time you need him. Your female must be either AKC or SV registered and must be 2 years old or older. We do not allow breeding of females under the age of 2. She must also have hip and elbow clearances, and DM DNA test results available. We will either charge a stud fee or in the case of certain females accept a puppy as stud fee payment.
